Frequently Asked Questions
-
How many days will I be required to work?
-
How many seminars would I present a day?
1 - 4 seminars. It depends on where you are based, and how many seminars Elevate has booked in for that day. You could present only 1, or some days you could present 3 or 4.
-
What year groups does Elevate present to?
The majority of seminars are presented to students doing their GCSEs and A-Levels, however we present to students in years 7 - 13.
-
How many seminars does Elevate have?
There are currently 11 seminars. Check out our programmes page to see what they're all about!
-
What about my travel expenses?
All travel expenses are paid. Whether you drive or take public transport to the schools, you will be reimbursed for your travel.
-
How long is each seminar?
60 - 75 minutes.
-
What kinds of schools does Elevate work with?
We work with all kinds of schools; state and independent, boarding and day, co-ed and single sex.
-
Do I need a teaching degree to be a presenter?
No, you don't need any teaching qualifications. Our seminars are made from research that was conducted with top performing students, meaning that they are practical, hands on, and are tried and proven stratgies. You don't need a teaching degree or to reinvent the wheel. Our seminars are developed by us, and presented by you.
-
What does a typical day of presenting look like?
Every day is different! Every school is different, every year level is different, every student is different. That's the best thing about this job. Each day you will have a unique experience where you will present seminars at 1 - 3 schools. You will travel between the schools located in your area.
-
Do I need a car?
Ideally. School locations vary greatly and relying on public transport, while possible is not much fun. That is, of course, unless you're based in London. Many of our London presenters use public transport and get around just fine.
-
Where are the schools located?
Generally, the school will be within 1 hour of your house. There will be occasions where you'll need to travel, but we endeavour to organise the seminars at schools in your area.
